Who qualifies for the Granola student pack?

The official page specifies current enrollment at an accredited university in the US, UK or Canada. A student email from another country does not establish eligibility under that wording. The page labels the program a limited offer but does not display a firm closing date in the reviewed public text.

Use the application on the student page rather than an unofficial coupon directory. Enrollment evidence, payment details and approval should be handled in the provider's own process. We have reviewed the public offer, not redeemed the benefit or tested an individual application.

What Business changes compared with Basic

Granola's pricing comparison lists 30 days of meeting history on Basic and unlimited notes and history on Business. Business also lists advanced AI model access and integrations with services such as Notion and Zapier. For a semester of recurring seminars, history is the practical distinction to consider first.

Unlimited history does not mean every other feature has no restrictions. Check export, sharing and organization controls for the exact workspace you use. If you only need to try a few sessions, test Basic before spending time on an application or planning a paid upgrade.

A 12-month offer needs an end-date plan

The student page promises 12 months of Business. It does not establish an annual renewal right, a lifetime license or the payment requirements of every accepted application. Read the terms shown during approval and save the benefit end date.

The checked Business price is $14 per user per month, but that is not proof of what an expiring student account will automatically be charged. Check your account's renewal behavior and cancellation options directly. Save important study material in an appropriate location before relying on continued premium access.

Use lecture notes with permission and source checks

Granola describes capturing lecture audio and turning it into structured notes. Before recording, ask the lecturer or meeting participants and follow the institution's rules. A student benefit does not grant permission to capture confidential discussions, personal information or restricted teaching material.

For revision, compare the generated summary against slides and your own notes. Check names, formulas and definitions before turning them into flashcards. Keep a citation manager such as Zotero for academic references; meeting notes are not a substitute for the original source.

How to get started

  1. Check current enrollment, accredited-university eligibility and the US, UK or Canada requirement on the official student page.
  2. Use its Apply button and follow the requested student-verification process.
  3. Before accepting, check the award length, payment-method prompt and any renewal or cancellation terms shown to you.
  4. Confirm that your account has the approved Business benefit and record its end date.
  5. Ask permission before capturing coursework or group meetings; test the app on a low-stakes session and check the resulting notes.

Our recommendation

Apply if you meet the university and country criteria and can use Business throughout a study year. Try Basic first for a small workload. Record the benefit's end date, verify renewal terms in your own account and obtain permission before capturing classes or group discussions.
